The Year As It Was……..

by Shatika, March 17, 2016

Shatika is the Brain Child of our CEO Mr Saksham Mittal, who started this online Exclusive Handloom Saree Store  under the guidance of his late grandfather Shri Shriram  Mittal. A friend, philosopher and guide, Shri Shriram Mittal who ran a business house that dealt in sarees for over 75 years, was a visionary. Paving the way for Shatika, while he reaped its foundation with his sound knowledge of textures , clusters, fabric and color, it was  Saksham who gave wings to his grandfather’s dream by taking the world of Handloom sarees from historic  city of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh to the world at large by taking it online.

We have had the strength to carry on our work because of the support and love shown to us by our dear saree lovers. The whole of last year we were flooded with requests to add more sarees and believe us, when we say that Shatika has prospered because we followed the path of light shown to us by those, who love us. That is why   we say that, Shatika what it is today, is because of you i.e people who believed in our dream.  We started with just five categories and today we about 34 varities of handloom sarees!  Our list of satisfied customers all around the world has crossed 10.000. Our quality and efficiency has been recognized not only in India but also on foreign shores.  We cannot thank you enough for the faith bestowed upon us. As a small token of our appreciation we brings you lots of offers and exciting times to mark our 1st Anniversary. An old dream is dead and a new one is being born, as a flower pushes through the earth. Anew vision is coming into being with new aspirations, new goals and a greater desire to do better!
