Are you ready? The heat is coming!

Temperatures are rising in all parts of India and the heat is getting unbearable in some parts. While you may wish to just be indoors in front of your A/c’s and coolers, it may not always be practical. Let’s face it, you will at some point or the other have to step out of the house and face the sun. At such times the most common natural fiber fabrics out there, cotton will help you stay cool and chic this summer!

How? Well, let’s first try to understand what exactly happens to our body in summers. Sweating is our body’s natural way to cool down and that’s precisely why we tend to perspire more in summers in order to beat the heat. At such times, cotton is the fabric that comes to our rescue as it is a naturally grown fabric known for its numerous advantages.

  1. Cotton allows better air circulation, which helps in absorbing and removing body moisture caused by sweat thus minimizing fungal breeding and keeping your body dry and cool. In fact you will be shocked by how cool it keeps you even in 40+ degree weather!
  2. Cotton is light in weight and in color thus helping the light to pass through instead of being absorbed and hence not letting us feel the heat as much.
  3. Cotton helps in bringing down the severity of any allergic reaction and is perfect for those with sensitive skin. Synthetic fabrics on the other hand cause rashes, skin allergies and body odour as they tend to trap moisture.

Cotton being the best fabric for summer, it is best worn as sari. While cotton sarees give ample of room for fresh air to pass through giving unmatched comfort, it’s also your best bet to look elegant and graceful!

At Shatika, we have a mind-blowing collection of cotton sarees to choose from. So what are you waiting for, your idea of being a chill and comfy chic this summer is just a click away!
